Weber State Wildcats (5-2) at Fresno State Bulldogs (5-2)
|Date & Time||Wednesday December 5, 2018, 10:00 PM (EST)|
The Line: Fresno State Bulldogs -4.5 -- Over/Under: 139.5
The Weber State Wildcats and the Fresno State Bulldogs will meet up in college basketball action on Wednesday.
Weber State is sitting at 5-2 on the year. The Wildcats have fallen to San Diego and CSUB but otherwise beaten Bethesda, SJSU, Central Michigan, Benedictine Mesa and BYU this season.
In the Cougars game, Weber State’s Jerrick Harding put up 30 points with four rebounds and Cody John had 22 points with eight boards. Zach Braxton doubled up for the Wildcats on 10 points and 11 rebounds in that one.
Over on the Fresno State side, they’re 5-2 this year as well. The Bulldogs have lost to TCU and Miami FL this season but beaten Alaska-Anchorage, Northwestern, Hawaii, Pacific and Cal Poly.
In the Mustangs game, Fresno’s Deshon Taylor had a great outing with 32 points, six assists and five rebounds, while Braxton Huggins chipped in with 17 points and four boards of his own.
The Wildcats are 6-0 ATS in their last six Wednesday games and 2-7-1 ATS in their last 10 overall. Weber is 0-4-1 ATS in their last five road games and the over is 4-1 in their last five versus the Mountain West.
Meanwhile, the Bulldogs are 4-1 ATS in their last five versus a team with a winning straight-up record and 16-6 ATS in their last 22 non-conference games. Fresno is 0-4 ATS in their last four after an ATS loss and the over is 4-0 in their last four overall.
Aside from a couple of pretty limp performances in their two losses, the Wildcats have done a decent job at putting points on the board this year, and they’ve got some talented players on the roster.
That said, Fresno State seems a little more consistent here in the early-going—and they’re sitting on a nice little run of three straight wins—so I’m going to go with the Bulldogs on the cover here.
