The Chattanooga Mocs won their 3rd straight game and improved to 10-10 (5-2 Southern) on the season after defeating The Citadel Bulldogs, 73-41, this past Saturday. Chattanooga led by a 41-32 margin at halftime and although they allowed the Bulldogs back in the game in the 2nd half, the Mocs were able to secure the win after a Kevin Easley three-pointer gave the Mocs the lead for good with :56 seconds left in regulation. Chattanooga shot 48.1% from the field and held the Bulldogs to just 21.6% (8-37) shooting from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Mocs was Kevin Easley who had a double-double with 22 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists, and a steal.

Defensively, Chattanooga is allowing their opponents to average 72.8 ppg on 44.6% shooting from the field. The Mocs have a rebound margin of -1.2 and a turnover margin of -0.8.

The Furman Paladins lost their 2nd straight game and dropped to 15-4 (4-3 Southern) on the season after being defeated by the Wofford Terriers, 59-54, this past Saturday night. Furman struggled offensively agianst the tough Wofford defense and couldn’t fight back after a Storm Murphy three-pointers gave the Terriers a 57-54 lead with :18 seconds left in regulation. Furman shot 35.1% from the field & 25.9% from beyond the arc in the loss. Leading the way for the Paladins was Matt Rafferty who had 23 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, & 2 steals.

Chattanooga has won 4 of their last 5 games and currently rank 188th in scoring offense, 46th in 3P-FG%, and 218th in scoring defense. Furman has won 3 of their last 5 games and has been solid on both ends of the court this season as they rank 49th in scoring offense, 87th in FG%, and 81st in scoring defense.

Chattanooga is just 2-7 in away games this season, however, the Mocs have been playing better as of late and have the ability to keep games close as they are solid on the offensive end from three-point range. Furman is the better team here, including being a perfect 9-0 at home this season, however, this is a bunch of points and I think the Mocs will do just enough to cover. Good Luck!

Chattanooga Mocs +13.5
