Saturday college basketball features the Fordham Rams traveling to the George Mason Patriots.

The Fordham Rams have dropped several close contests and that trend continued in a 63-60 loss to St. Louis on Tuesday as a seven point home dog.

This wasn’t over until the final horn sounded with Fordham sinking a few more baskets and the Billikens winning on a 14-8 advantage at the line.

The Rams were balanced offensively with Jalen Cobb leading the way with 12 points while Erten Gazi adding ten points and seven rebounds.

Antwon Portley gave Fordham  another  eleven points  followed by four players contributing between 4-6 points apiece.

The George Mason Patriots have been in a groove with wins in four of five after knocking off Rhode Island 68-63 as a 2.5 point road dog.

George Mason did not light up the scoreboard on 43.1% shooting but that was enough to overcome the Rams 36.4% shooting and their 15 extra shots.

Justin Kier led the Patriots upset bid with 22 points and nine rebounds while Javon Greene added 19 points and seven boards.

Otis Livingston II gave George Mason 12 points, three pulls and four helpers followed by Jordan Miller with seven points and three yanks.

Fordham Rams are 14-30-1 ATS in their last 45 games overall and Fordham Rams are 2-6-1 ATS in their last 9 vs. Atlantic 10. George Mason Patriots are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall and George Mason Patriots are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. Atlantic 10.

Fordham hasn’t been winning but they have been competitive…

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
