George Washington Colonials +1 O/U: 136.5
The UMass Minutemen and the George Washington Colonials will meet up on the college basketball court Wednesday.
UMass enters this game with a 9-16 mark on the season. The Minutemen have lost four of their last five games, dropping to La Salle, Saint Joseph’s, Fordham and George Mason in that stretch.
In the loss to the Patriots, UMass’ Carl Pierre led the team on 26 points with three assists and one rebound. Tre Wood added 13 points with one assist for the Minutemen there, and Samba Diallo had 12 boards with eight points.
Over on the George Washington side, they’re 7-18 this year. The Colonials have lost their last four straight games to VCU, Richmond, Saint Louis and Duquesne in succession.
In the loss to the Dukes, George Washington’s DJ Williams led the way on 21 points with four rebounds. Adding 20 points for the Colonials there was Maceo Jack, and Javier Langarica had 13 rebounds with six points.
UMass is 15-36-1 ATS in their last 52 Wednesday games and 1-4 ATS in their last five versus a team with a losing straight-up record. The under is 5-1 in the Minutemen’s last six road games and 7-2 in their last nine Wednesday games.
Meanwhile, the Colonials are 9-3-1 ATS in their last 13 Wednesday games and 1-4 ATS in their last five home games. George Washington is 0-4 ATS in their last four overall and 0-4 ATS in their last four versus the Atlantic 10.
It’s been a sketchy run for UMass, and last Wednesday was the first time they’d hit 68 points in a four-game run—one of which they actually managed to win 54-51 versus Davidson.
George Washington hasn’t exactly been doing much to buoy confidence either—they’ve got their own difficulties on both sides. With the home lift here I’ll take the Colonials but otherwise I’m not touching it.
