The St. Bonaventure Bonnies and the George Washington Colonials meet in A-10 college basketball action from the Charles E. Smith Center on Saturday afternoon.

The St. Bonaventure Bonnies will look to build on their current 5-game winning streak after a 68-47 win over Duquesne in their last outing. Courtney Stockard led the Bonnies with 21 points on 8 of 14 shooting with 3 threes, a team-high 6 assists and 3 steals while LaDarien Griffin came 2nd with 16 points and 11 rebounds for the double-double. Kyle Lofton and Osun Osunniyi each had 10 points to round out the group of double-digit scorers for the Bonnies in the win with Osunniyi adding 9 rebounds and 3 blocks while Lofton dished out 6 assists of his own in the winning effort. Lofton leads St. Bonaventure with an average of 14.6 points and 3.8 assists per game while Osunniyi leads the Bonnies in rebounding with 7.1 rebounds per game this season. As a team, St. Bonaventure is averaging 67.3 points per game on 43.5% shooting from the field, 32.6% from behind the arc and 73.2% from the foul line this season.

The George Washington Colonials will be looking to rebound from back-to-back losses after an 80-53 beatdown at the hands of Rhode Island in their last outing. Javier Langarica led the Colonials with 14 points on 6 of 12 shooting while also adding 12 rebounds for the double-double as the only GW player to score in double figures in the losing effort. Justin Mazzulla added 5 points with 5 rebounds and a team-high 4 assists while DJ Williams had 9 points and Terry Nolan Jr. added 7 points. Williams leads George Washington in scoring with 14.8 points per game while Nolan Jr. leads the Colonials in rebounding with 5 rebounds per game and Mazzulla leads the Colonials in assists with 3.5 assists per game this season. As a team, George Washington is averaging 64 points per game on 41.4% shooting from the field, 31.5% from behind the arc and 68.2% from the foul line this season.

St. Bonaventure is 5-0 ATS in their last 5 road games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 conference games. George Washington is 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games overall and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a loss while the over is 5-1 in their last 6 conference games. St. Bonaventure is 6-13-1 ATS in the last 20 meetings between these two teams and 2-8 ATS in the last 10 meetings between these two teams at George Washington.

St. Bonaventure hasn’t had much luck against the Colonials over the years, both overall and on the road, so the points are somewhat tempting given that information. However, the Bonnies have been solid ATS on the road as of late, while George Washington has been nothing short of forgettable, as we saw in their extremely disappointing performance against Rhode Island. What it all boils down to is the fact that these two teams are headed in completely different directions right now, so I’ll lay the points with St. Bonaventure on the road in this one.

St. Bonaventure -6
