George Washington Colonials +8 O/U: 130.5
The VCU Rams and the George Washington Colonials will meet up on the college basketball court Wednesday.
VCU enters this matchup with a 15-6 mark overall. The Rams are 4-1 in their last five overall, falling to Rhode Island and beating Dayton, UMass, Duquesne and George Mason during that stretch.
In the win over the Patriots, VCU forward Isaac Vann led the team with 21 points, four assists and three rebounds. Marcus Evans and Michael Gilmore each chipped in 11 points for the Rams in that matchup.
Over on the George Washington side, they’re 7-14 this year. The Colonials dropped three straight to Duquesne, Davidson and George Mason but won their last game versus Fordham.
In the win over the Rams, George Washington’s DJ Williams led the way on 30 points with four rebounds and two assists. Maceo Jack added 17 points and five rebounds for the Colonials there, and Justin Mazulla had 11 points, nine rebounds and six assists.
The Rams are 4-1 ATS in their last five overall and 4-1 ATS in their last five versus the Atlantic 10. VCU is 7-19 ATS in their last 26 Wednesday games and the under is 4-1 in their last five Wednesday games.
Meanwhile, the Colonials are 9-1-1 ATS in their last 11 Wednesday games and 11-2 ATS in their last 13 overall. George Washington is 4-1 ATS in their last five versus the Atlantic 10 and 6-2 ATS in their last eight home games.
VCU has put up a couple of solid efforts across their last pair, scoring a total of 159 points. That’s good news for the Rams, as it comes following 133 points across their two games prior to that.
GW had a couple of scoring duds themselves heading into the Fordham game, posting 62 against Davidson and 55 versus George Mason, but managed 79 in their last outing.
Still, I’m not convinced the Colonials can score with any sort of regularity so I’m going to stick with VCU on the cover here.
