Marquette is well known for their ability, led by Markus Howard, to put up points on the board as they currently rank 57th in scoring offense, however, the Golden Eagles defense has taken a major step forward this season and currently ranks 118th in scoring defense & 44th in defensive FG%. Georgetown is an athletic team that currently ranks 24th in scoring offense & 48th in rebound margin, however, the Hoyas can struggle slowing down opposing offenses as they rank just 305th in scoring defense.
Marquette is a solid team this season, however, they come into Georgetown just 1-2 in road games this season, with both losses coming by 20+ points. Georgetown is 9-2 at home this season and between the fact that I think they’ll be able to find success on the offensive end and have the size to battle the Golden Eagles on the boards, I taking Georgetown and the points in this one.
