The North Carolina Central Eagles will be traveling to Stegeman Coliseum in Athens, Georgia to take on the Georgia Bulldogs. The Eagles are 2-6 on the season including a two-game skid where they have lost by a total of 34 in those two games. The Bulldogs are off to a 5-2 start, losing two games to very talented Michigan State and Dayton teams.

North Carolina Central averages just 59.6 points per game and giving up 69.1 points a game as well. The Eagles are led by their junior forward Jibri Blount. Blount averages 16.3 points a game and also averages 9.3 rebounds to go with it. Jibri is the only highlight for the Eagles and they are going to need him to step up big time if the Eagles are going to want to stay in a close game with this talented Georgia team.

Georgia averages 84.9 points a game while giving up 78.9 points a game. The Bulldogs are led in scoring by their very talented freshman guard Anthony Edwards. Edwards averages 20.6 points a game and is a leader for this team. In the Maui Jim Maui Invitational tournament Edwards put up an astonishing 37 points versus a very physical defense from Michigan St.

While North Carolina Central has been struggling to find ways to put wins on their record sheet, Georgia has been lights out at home going 5-0 at home to start the year. With Edwards healthy and looking to lead the charge, I do not see a way that this Eagles team will be able to keep up with Georgia’s quick offensive attack. Final score prediction Georgia Bulldogs win and cover 95-60.
