The Ragin’ Cajuns are 19-8-1 ATS in their last 28 games vs. Sun Belt opponents however, are just 3-13 ATS in their last 16 games following a straight up win. The Panthers are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games vs. Sun Belt opponents and 6-1 ATS in their last 7 home games vs. a team with a winning road record.
Louisiana likes to keep the game at a fast pace and although they have done a nice job putting points up on the board as they rank 31st in scoring offense, the defense has also given up plenty of points as they rank 308th in scoring defense & T-241st in defensive FG%. Georgia State is a bit more of a balanced team as they rank 111th in scoring offense, 95th in FG%, and 220th in scoring defense.
Georgia State has owned this match-up recently as they’ve won their last 5 match-ups agianst the Ragin’ Cajuns and have covered in 4 of those 5 games. Louisiana is a solid team, however, I haven’t been overly impressed by their victories this season and between the fact that Georgia State has yet to lose at home and is coming off an impressive victory against a good Texas State team on the road, I think the Panthers do enough here to cover this spread and will probably put a small amount on the Over as this game has gone Over in 9 of the last 10 matchups.
