The Florida State Seminoles and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets meet in ACC college basketball action from the McCamish Pavilion on Saturday afternoon.

The Florida State Seminoles will look for another win to build on their current 6-game winning streak after picking up an 88-66 win over Wake Forest last time out. Christ Koumadje led the Seminoles with 20 points on 10 of 12 shooting with a game-high 12 rebounds and a pair of blocks while Phil Cofer added 13 points with 3 triples and PJ Savoy added 11 points with 3 threes of his own to round out the trio of double-digit scorers for FSU in the win. Terance Mann and Trent Forrest each had 7 points on 3 of 4 shooting with Mann adding a team-high 6 assists while Forrest dished out 4 assists. Mfiondu Kabengele was held to just 9 points and 7 rebounds in 13 minutes on the floor, but still leads Florida State in scoring with an average of 13.4 points per game while Mann leads the Seminoles in rebounding with 6.5 rebounds per game and Forrest leads FSU in assists with 4 helpers per game this season. As a team, Florida State is averaging 77.5 points per game on 45.5% shooting from the field, 33.9% from behind the arc and 73.6% from the foul line this season.

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will be out to snap a 6-game losing streak after falling to Virginia Tech by a final score of 76-68 last time out for their 8th loss in their last 9 games. Michael Devoe led the Yellow Jackets with 22 points on 6 of 11 shooting with 4 threes and a team-high 5 assists while James Banks III added 15 points and a team-high 8 rebounds and Kristian Sjolund chipped in 11 points with 3 threes and 6 rebounds to finish off the trio of double-digit scorers for Georgia Tech in the losing effort. Jose Alvarado was held to just 4 points but still leads Georgia Tech with an average of 11.4 points and 3.2 assists per game while Banks III leads the Yellow Jackets on the glass with 7.5 rebounds per game this season. As a team, Georgia Tech is averaging 65.6 points per game on 43.8% shooting from the field, 30% from behind the arc and 70.4% from the foul line this season.

Florida State is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall and 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games against a team with a losing record while the under is 13-3 in their last 16 road games. Georgia Tech is 17-8 ATS in their last 25 games against a team with a winning record and 12-4 ATS in their last 16 games following a loss while the under is 8-1 in their last 9 games overall. Florida State is 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings between these two teams at Georgia Tech.

Georgia Tech getting points at home is worth a look considering that Florida State has a tendency to play down to lower opposition while Georgia Tech relishes in the opportunity to punch above their weight. However, Florida State is rolling right now while the Yellow Jackets are scuffling. The Seminoles also have had a lot of success in recent meetings at the McCamish Pavilion, so I’ll lay the points on the road with Florida State here.
