The Georgia Bulldogs and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will meet up in college basketball action on Saturday.

Georgia enters this game at 6-4 on the season. The Bulldogs have taken out Savannah State, Sam Houston, Illinois State, Kennesaw State, Texas Southern and Oakland so far this year.

In the Golden Grizzlies game, Georgia’s Nicolas Claxton and Rayshaun Hammonds each posted a double-double; Claxton had 17 points with 13 rebounds and Hammonds managed 17 points with 11 rebounds.

Over on the Georgia Tech side, they’re 6-4 as well. The Yellow Jackets have recorded victories over Lamar, East Carolina, UTRGV, Prairie View, Florida A&M and Arkansas this season.

In the Razorbacks game, Jose Alvarado led the Jackets’ scoring on 20 points with nine rebounds, while James Banks managed to double up on 14 points, 14 rebounds and three assists there.

Georgia is 4-0 ATS in their last four non-conference games and 4-0 ATS in their last four overall. The Bulldogs are 4-1 ATS in their last five following a straight-up win and the under is 10-2 in their last 12 Saturday games.

Meanwhile, the Jackets are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 non-conference games and 12-3 ATS in their last 15 overall. Georgia Tech is 6-2 ATS in their last eight Saturday games and 24-9 ATS in their last 33 home games.

Georgia had a couple of dud games last month but they’ve since gotten their proverbial act together with a string of solid showings and nice scoring output.

As for Georgia Tech, they haven’t really dazzled on the scoreboard, and they’re allowing a lot of points on the other side to most opponents.

I have to stick with the Bulldogs here.
