Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets +3.5 O/U: 136.5
The Louisville Cardinals and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will meet up in college basketball activity on Saturday.
Louisville enters this one on a 12-5 mark so far this season. After an 89-86 loss to Pittsburgh on January 9, the Cardinals have picked up wins in their last two games versus North Carolina and Boston College.
In the win over the Eagles, Louisville’s Jordan Nwora bagged a double-double on 32 points, 10 rebounds and four assists. Dwayne Sutton doubled up himself for the Cards, with 14 points, 10 rebounds and two helpers.
Over on the Georgia Tech side, they’re sitting at 10-7 this year. The Yellow Jackets are just 1-2 in their last three outings, beating Syracuse but falling to Virginia Tech and Clemson during that time.
In the loss to the Tigers, Jackets center James Banks led the team in scoring on 16 points with one rebound. The only other Georgia Tech player in double-figures was Jose Alvarado with 10 points and five rebounds.
The Cardinals are 4-1 ATS in their last five road games and 3-1-1 ATS in their last five Saturday games. Louisville is 2-5-1 ATS in their last eight overall and 0-4-1 ATS in their last five following a straight-up win.
Meanwhile, the Jackets are 5-1 ATS in their last six Saturday games and 7-2 ATS in their last nine versus the ACC. Georgia Tech is 16-6 ATS in their last 22 overall and 27-11 ATS in their last 38 home games.
The loss to Pitt sticks out like that proverbial sore thumb over Louisville’s last four games, as otherwise they’ve been firing on all cylinders and getting good performances out of the bulk of their team.
Georgia Tech is a plucky team and can score pretty well themselves when they’re so motivated, but if the Cardinals play like they have over the past couple of games here, I like Louisville to take the cover in this one.
