|Date & Time||Monday December 31, 2018, 9:00 PM (EST)|
The Line: Gonzaga Bulldogs -25 -- Over/Under: 151.5
The Cal State Bakersfield Roadrunners and the Gonzaga Bulldogs will meet up on the college basketball court Monday.
Cal State Bakersfield comes in here at 8-4 on the year. The Roadrunners are currently on a five-game win streak, taking out UC Merced, Idaho, Lamar, Cal Poly and Portland State during that run.
In the Vikings game, Cal State Bakersfield’s Jarkel Joiner put up 24 poitns, five rebounds and two assists. Damiyne Durham added 18 points, and Rickey Holden chipped in 11 for the Roadrunners there.
Over on the Gonzaga side, they’re 12-2 this season. Since falling in consecutive games to Tennessee and North Carolina, the Bulldogs have taken out Texas-Arlington, Denver and North Alabama.
In the Lions game, Gonzaga’s Zach Norvell put up 20 points, five assists and four rebounds, while Brandon Clarke doubled up on 16 points, 12 rebounds and two assists in a nice outing for him.
The Roadrunners are 4-0 ATS in their last four non-conference games and 4-0 ATS in their last four overall. CSUB is 14-4 ATS in their last 18 following an ATS win and 20-8 ATS in their last 28 following a straight-up win.
Meanwhile, the Bulldogs are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 home games and 15-5 ATS in their last 20 Monday games. Gonzaga is 10-4 ATS in their last 14 non-conference games and 10-4 ATS in their last 14 overall.
CSUB started things off a little sketchy at the beginning of the season, but it looks like they’ve found a decent offensive groove and are looking better these days.
Still, CSUB simply isn’t anywhere near Gonzaga’s level right now (the Bulldogs were up 48-14 on North Alabama at the half), so a blowout seems imminent. I’m taking the Bulldogs.
