Gonzaga Bulldogs -23.5 O/U: 157
The Pepperdine Waves and the Gonzaga Bulldogs will meet up in college basketball activity from the West Coast Tournament Monday.
The Waves enter this one at 16-17 on the year so far. Pepperdine is sitting on a three-game win streak right now, recording victories over Pacific, Loyola Marymount and San Francisco in that time.
In the win over the Dons, Pepperdine’s top scorer was Colbey Ross with 26 points, five rebounds and nine assists. Kessler Edwards helped out the Waves in that one with 12 points and seven rebounds with one assist and one block.
Over on the Gonzaga side, they’re 29-2 this season. The Bulldogs haven’t lost since back on December 15, and they’ve taken out BYU, Pacific and Saint Mary’s in just their last three.
In the win over St. Mary’s, Gonzaga’s lead scorer was Josh Perkins on 19 points with two rebounds and two assists. Rui Hachimura helped out the Bulldogs in that one with 17 points and eight rebounds as well.
The Waves are 4-0 ATS in their last four neutral-site games and 16-6 ATS in their last 22 after an ATS win. Pepperdine is 18-7 ATS in their last 25 versus the West Coast and 5-2 ATS in their last seven overall.
Meanwhile, Gonzaga is 16-5 ATS in their last 21 Monday games and 11-5 ATS in their last 16 after an ATS win. The under is 10-3 in the Bulldogs’ last 13 after an ATS win and they’re 27-10-3 ATS in the last 40 meetings between these teams.
Don’t look now, but Pepperdine is catching some real momentum at the edge of the regular season. The Waves have won four of their last five games, and they’re fresh off taking out a pretty good San Francisco team 89-72.
Gonzaga is on a pretty epic run right now, and no one expects them to lose here, but I think Pepperdine has enough momentum and firepower right now to crack that spread. I’m going Waves.
