Gonzaga Bulldogs -22 O/U: 150
The San Diego Toreros and the Gonzaga Bulldogs will match up on the college basketball court Saturday.
San Diego enters this matchup with a 15-7 mark on the year. The Toreros are 3-1 in the last four games, dropping to Saint Mary’s and taking out Portland, LMU and San Francisco in that stretch of outings.
In the win over the Dons, San Diego forward Isaiah Pineiro led the charge with 22 points, 13 rebounds and two assists. Isaiah Wright added 17 points for the Toreros in that one, and Yauhen Massalski put up 13 points and six boards.
Over on the Gonzaga side, they’re 20-2 this season. The Bulldogs are currently sitting on an 11-game win streak, taking out San Francisco, LMU, Portland, Santa Clara and BYU in just their last five.
In the win over the Cougars, Gonzaga’s lead scorer was Brandon Clarke on 23 points, nine rebounds and two assists. Chipping in 20 points and nine rebounds was Rui Hachimura, and Corey Kispert managed 16 points with five rebounds for the Bulldogs.
The Toreros are 2-5 ATS in their last seven after an ATS win and 1-4 ATS in their last five after a straight-up win. The under is 3-0-1 in San Diego’s last four overall and 3-0-1 in the last four versus the West Coast.
Meanwhile, the Bulldogs are 7-1 ATS in the last eight after an ATS win and 6-1 ATS in the last seven home games. Gonzaga is 9-2 ATS in the last 11 overall and 7-2 ATS in their last nine versus the West Coast.
San Diego has had some scoring difficulties over their last eight games, failing to hit 70 points in four of them. Otherwise, the Toreros have been a little sketchy and unpredictable, but mostly a reliable squad when it comes to their game outcomes.
Gonzaga is going to tear into the Toreros here no doubt, but I’m always hesitant about these big lines when they get up into the 20s or so. San Diego has enough scoring to at least make an effort here, and I don’t think the Bulldogs will leave their premiere guys out there for too long. I’m going San Diego here.
