The Texas-Arlington Mavericks and the Gonzaga Bulldogs will meet up in college basketball action on Tuesday.
UT-Arlington enters this one at 3-7 on the year. The Mavericks have dropped games to Texas A&M-CC, Indiana, Arkansas, Tulsa, UTRGV, Missouri and North Texas so far this season.
In the Mean Green game, TX-Arlington’s Brian Warren led the team on 15 points with three rebounds, and Tinder Jackson-Young put up 12 points. David Azore chipped in with 11 points and six assists for the Mavs.
Over on the Gonzaga side, they’re one of the top teams in the country at 9-2 right now. The lone pair of blemishes on the Bulldogs’ schedule so far have come in their last two games against Tennessee 76-73 and North Carolina 103-90.
In the Tar Heels game, Gonzaga’s Zach Norvell led the team on 21 points with two rebounds, and Josh Perkins provided 20 points with eight assists and five rebounds there.
The Mavericks are 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 following an ATS win and 4-12 ATS in their last 16 road games. UT-Arlington is also 1-4 ATS in their last five non-conference games and 1-4 ATS in their last five overall.
Meanwhile, the Bulldogs are 6-2 ATS in their last eight following a straight-up loss and 6-2 ATS in their last eight home games. Gonzaga is 19-7 ATS in their last 26 Tuesday games and the over is 6-2 in their last eight home games.
UT-Arlington has hit the skids over their last six games, dropping every one and not scoring very well while doing it. The Mavericks haven’t seen 70 points in quite some time.
Gonzaga is built to completely annihilate UT-Arlington, and I don’t think they’ll have too much trouble doing so. I’m going Bulldogs.
