The LaSalle Explorers face the Grand Canyon Antelopes in the Wooden Legacy college basketball tournament.

The LaSalle Explorers have suffered from a rough start with the team remaining winless at 0-6 following a 91-74 loss to Northwestern in the Wooden Legacy. LaSalle trailed by 19 heading to the locker room despite 45% shooting while Northwestern connected at 48% and held a 35-21 advantage at the stripe.

Pookie Powell was the Explorers top scorer with 23 points and six rebounds on 4-10 from the floor and 12-14 at the line. Miles Brookins gave LaSalle 12 points on 5-7 accuracy with Jared Kimbrough and Jamir Moultrie combining for 19 points.

The Grand Canyon Antelopes have dropped consecutive outings following a 75-66 defeat to Utah in the Wooden Legacy on Friday. Grand Canyon mustered 43.2% shooting with the Utes connecting on half their looks which was the only real difference in a competitive box score.

Alessandro Lever was the Antelopes best scoring option with 16 points and three yanks on 4-8 from the floor before fouling out in 31 minutes while Tim Finke tossed in 14 points on four long balls. Trey Drechsel added ten points, three pulls and three assists on 3-5 Carlos Johnson chipped in with eight points.
