The Green Bay Phoenix improved to 19-16 (10-8 Horizon) after having no issue defeating the FIU Golden Panthers by a 98-68 margin this past Tuesday night. Green Bay had no trouble putting up points against the Golden Panthers and had no trouble picking up the victory in the 2nd half after taking a 53-33 halftime lead. Green Bay shot 51.5% from the field while holding FIU to just 34.8% shooting from the field and 14.3% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Green Bay has been led by Sandy Cohen III (17.6 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 4.7 apg, 1.9 spg, 1.1 bpg), JayQuan McCloud (13.8 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 2.3 apg), Kameron Hankerson (8.4 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 1.7 apg, 1.0 spg), and PJ Pipes (5.9 ppg, 2.1 rpg, 1.2 apg).

The Roadrunners are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 non-conference games and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 Friday games. The Phoenix are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 home games and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games overall.

CSU Bakersfield has picked up a couple of nice wins in the first two rounds of the CIT, however, I’m still not buying the Roadrunners as this is a team that ended their regular season losing 9 of their last 10 games and currently have just a 7-9 record on the road on the season. Green Bay’s defense can give up some points, however, their offense has been outstanding this season as they currently rank 22nd in scoring offense & 88th in FG%. Green Bay has the best player in Sandy Cohen III and as I think the Phoenix will be able to put up plenty of points against the CSU Bakersfield defense, I’m taking Green Bay to cover this mid-range spread. Good Luck!
