The Detroit Mercy Titans will travel to the Resch Center to take on the Green Bay Phoenix this Saturday afternoon in College Basketball action.

The Detroit Mercy Titans snapped their 3-game losing streak and improved to 10-16 (7-7 Horizon) on the season after defeating the Milwaukee Panthers, 90-84, this past Thursday. Detroit Mercy was outstanding offensively agianst the Panthers on the road and pulled away late after a 6-0 Titans run gave Detroit Mercy an 81-72 lead with just 3:50 left in regulation. Detroit Mercy shot 44.4% from the field and 35.5% from beyond the arc in the victory. Leading the way for the Titans was Antoine Davis who had 27 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals.

On the season, Detroit Mercy is averaging 72.5 ppg on 41.9% shooting from the field. The Titans are averaging 9.4 three-pointers per game on 36.2% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Detroit Mercy has been led by Antoine Davis (26.7 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 3.3 apg, 1.0 spg), Josh McFolley (12.5 ppg, 2.3 rpg, 2.8 apg, 1.9 spg), Harrison Curry (8.5 ppg, 4.7 rpg), and Derrien King (8.3 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 1.3 apg).

Defensively, Detroit Mercy is allowing their opponents to average 77.8 ppg on 46.3% shooting from the field. The Titans have a rebound margin of -6.5 and a turnover margin of 2.3.

The Green Bay Phoenix improved to 13-13 (7-6 Horizon) after defeating the Oakland Golden Grizzlies, 66-54, this past Thursday. Green Bay had one of their best defensive performances of the year against the high-scoring Oakland offense and easily pulled away in the 2nd half after taking a 39-23 lead with 16:20 left in regulation. Green Bay held Oakland to just 34.5% shooting from the field and forced the Golden Grizzlies into committing 27 turnovers in the victory. Leading the way for the Phoenix was Shanquan Hemphill who had a double-double with 13 points, 10 rebounds, and 1 assist.

On the season, Green Bay is averaging 82.8 ppg on 45.3% shooting from the field. The Phoenix are averaging 8.1 three-pointers per game on 34.2% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Green Bay has been led by Sandy Cohen III (16.3 ppg, 6.1 rpg, 4.5 apg, 2.0 spg), JayQuan McCloud (13.5 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 2.2 apg), Kameron Hankerson (9.7 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 1.5 apg, 1.0 spg), and PJ Pipes (7.0 ppg, 2.0 rpg, 1.2 apg).

Defensively, Green Bay is allowing their opponents to average 81.7 ppg on 45.3% shooting from the field. The Phoenix have a rebound margin of -3.9 and a turnover margin of 3.4.

The Titans are 11-4 ATS in their last 15 games following a ATS win, however, are just 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games. The Phoenix are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a losing straight up record, however, are just 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games following a straight up win.

Detroit Mercy has lost 6 of their last 8 games and although they are able to do damage from beyond the arc as they rank 41st in three-pointers made per game & 93rd in 3P-FG%, the Titans have struggled defensively as they currently rank just 311th in scoring defense.

Green Bay has won 3 of their last 4 games and although their defense ranks just 345th in scoring defense & 274th in defensive FG%, the Phoenix have been solid offensively as they rank 20th in scoring offense.

Green Bay had no answers on the defensive end for the Titans in their first match-up this season as Detroit Mercy won by a 101-83 margin in early January, however, even with their recent victory at Milwaukee, the Titans have really struggled on the road this season as they are just 4-11 in away games on the season. Green Bay is 9-2 at home this season and as I was impressed by their recent defensive performance agianst Oakland, I think the Phoenix continues to play well and does enough to cover this home spread. Good Luck!

Green Bay Phoenix -4.5
