Friday Horizon college basketball action pits the Milwaukee Panthers at the Green Bay Phoenix.

The Milwaukee Panthers have followed a two game winning streak with consecutive losses after a 73-60 defeat at Northern Kentucky on Saturday.

Milwaukee took a four point lead heading to the intermission but were overwhelmed 43-26 in the second half with only 36.9% shooting to lean on.

Jake Wright was the main weapon for the Panthers with 16 points with Vance Johnson adding eleven points and 12 rebounds.

DeAndre Abram gave Milwaukee nine points and four pulls followed by Darius Roy with eight points, five boards and four helpers.

The Green Bay Phoenix need a change in momentum after an 87-75 loss at Wright State saddled the team with losses in four of five.

Green Bay fell behind by five points after 20 minutes and could not get stops in the second half with the Raider sinking shots at 54.5%.

JayQuan McCloud kept the Phoenix competitive early with 18 points and six helpers followed by Kameron Hankerson with 16 points and three yanks.

Josh McNair gave Green Bay another 13 points while PJ Pipes and Cody McCloud tossed in nine and seven points respectively.

Milwaukee Panthers are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall and  are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 vs. Horizon League and  are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 road games. Green Bay Phoenix are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games overall and  are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 vs. Horizon League. Milwaukee Panthers are 2-5-1 ATS in the last 8 meetings and road team is 9-3-1 ATS in the last 13 meetings.

Milwaukee doesn’t win a lot and were easily beaten by Green Bay in the first match up but I think the Panthers are more competitive this time around…

Milwaukee +7

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
