The Texas Southern Tigers visit the Green Bay Phoenix in the CIT college basketball tournament.

The Texas Southern Tigers outlasted the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks 108-102 in three overtimes in the CIT quarterfinals.

Tyrik Armstrong keyed the Tigers upset with a contest high 32 points three steals and eight helpers with Jeremy Combs adding 27 points and eleven rebounds.

Eden Ewing gave Texas Southern 23 points and another eleven rebounds followed by Devocio Butler with 12 points and yet another eleven rebounds.

The Green Bay Phoenix continued their impressive run in the CIT with an 80-65 rout of the Cal. State Bakersfield in the tournament quarterfinals.

Sandy Cohen III paced a balanced Phoenix offense with 15 points, five pulls and five helpers with Trevian Bell and Cody Schwartz tossing in 13 points each. 

Green  Bay  received 12 points  from  JayQuan Hemphill followed by PJ Pipes  with eleven points, four pulls and four assists.                                                                                                                           

Texas Southern Tigers are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 non-conference games and are 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 road games vs. a team with a winning home record and  are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall and are 5-2-1 ATS in their last 8 road games.

Green Bay looks tough at home but as I said before, Texas Southern always plays superior competition on the road and even though the Phoenix are at home the Panthers are of equal quality…
