The Wright State Raiders go on the road to face the Green Bay Phoenix in Horizon college basketball action.

The Wright State Raiders stayed hot with an 82-54 rout of Youngstown State on Saturday as a 12.5 point home favorite.

Wright State has racked up wins in nine of ten to storm to the top of the conference with a one game lead and two games left on the schedule.

Loudon Love led all scorers  with  26 points  with  Mark Hughes  giving  the Raiders  another 14 points  and three yanks.

Wright State received 12 points and five assists from Cole Gentry followed Alan Vest and Billy Wampler with seven and six points.

The Green Bay Phoenix saw their three game winning streak end in a 79-68 defeat at Indiana-Purdue as six point underdog on Sunday.

Green Bay is third in the Horizon League but three other teams are tied at 9-9 and a loss in the final two games of the year could knock the team out of the top four.

ShanQuan Hemphill was the top weapon for the Phoenix with 18 points followed by Sandy Cohen III with 16 points, eight rebounds and four assists.

JayQuan McCloud  gave Green  Bay  another eleven  points and  five pulls  while  Trevian Bell  contributed  six more points.

Wright State Raiders are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games overall and Wright State Raiders are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 vs. Horizon League.

Green Bay Phoenix are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall and Green Bay Phoenix are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 vs. Horizon League.

Wright State Raiders are 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings and over is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings.

Wright State is living up to the preseason hype and I think the run continues with their grip on first at stake…

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
