USA TODAY Sports

Coming up on Saturday afternoon from Lavietes Pavilion, the Pennsylvania Quakers and the Harvard Crimson will be matching up on the college basketball court.

Penn comes into this game at 17-6 on the season. The Quakers have lost just twice since the beginning of December, bagging 12 wins in that time. Pennsylvania is currently sitting on a five-game win streak.

The Quakers’ most recent win came Friday at Dartmouth 64-61. In that game, Penn’s AJ Brodeur was the star on 20 points and 10 rebounds. Quakers guard Darnell Foreman also had a nice night with 15 points and five boards.

Over on the Harvard side, they’re currently 11-11 on the year so far. The Crimson started out January at 5-9 but since have won six of their last eight games and five of their last six.

The Crimson took a win over Princeton in their last appearance Friday 66-51. In that matchup, Harvard held Princeton to just 20 points in the first half. Tops in scoring for the Crimson was Christian Juzang, with 20 points and four rebounds with four assists and a steal.

Penn is 6-2-1 ATS in the last nine road games versus a team with a winning home record and 5-2 ATS in the last seven Saturday games. The Quakers are also 10-4-1 ATS in their last 15 road games versus a team with a home winning percentage of greater than .600 and the under is 4-0 in the last four Saturday games.

Meanwhile, Harvard is 3-1-1 ATS in their last five Saturday games and 11-4-1 ATS in their last 16 games versus a team with a winning percentage above .600. The under is 6-0 in the last six meetings of these two teams at Harvard and the favorite is 8-0 ATS in their last eight meetings.

Penn has a pretty well-rounded group of scorers atop their lineup, which is a big reason they’ve been successful lately. The Quakers can rely on any of a half-dozen guys to contribute on the scoreboard on a given night, but the team has put up 64 points or fewer in two of their last three games. As for Harvard, they’ve thrown up a few nice scoring outings here and there but on the whole are pretty unreliable there. I’m more comfortable with the Quakers in this one.

Pick:
Pennsylvania Quakers +1.5
