The Line: Harvard Crimson PK -- Over/Under:
Over at Lavietes Pavilion on Saturday evening, the Yale Bulldogs will be taking on the Harvard Crimson in college basketball activity.
Yale enters this one with a 12-13 record overall this season. The Bulldogs had a stretch where they lost four out of five games in late January into February, but have now won their last three straight.
In Yale’s most recent 77-65 win over Dartmouth on Friday, the Bulldogs’ top scorer was forward Blake Reynolds, who logged 17 points with four rebounds and three assists. Miye Oni had a nice game as well with 15 points, seven rebounds and five assists for Yale.
Over on the Harvard side, they’re currently 13-11 this year. The Crimson started out this calendar year with a loss, but since then have won eight of their last 10 games, including their last four in a row.
Harvard’s last appearance was Friday, when they took out Brown 65-58. In that game, Crimson forward Seth Towns put up 24 points and five rebounds. Harvard’s Christian Juzang also played well with 21 points and five rebounds.
The under is 5-0 in the Bulldogs’ last five Saturday games and Yale is 5-1 ATS in the last six head-to-head meetings at Harvard. Yale is also 1-4 ATS in their last five meetings and the underdog is 4-1 in their last five meetings.
Meanwhile, the Crimson are 4-1-1 ATS in their last six Saturday games and the road team is 11-2 ATS in the last 13 head-to-head meetings. The over is 9-4 in Harvard’s last 13 home games versus a team with a road winning percentage of less than .400.
After putting up just 50 points on February 3 versus Pennsylvania, Yale has been on a nice run scoring-wise with at least 74 points in each of their last three. As for Harvard, they’ve been a little unpredictable offensively during this win streak. The last time these teams met, the Crimson bagged a 54-52 win on the road and I think Harvard can win here.
