The Hawaii Warriors open their college basketball schedule with a visit from the Portland Pilots.
The Hawaii Warrior finished 6th in the Big West and were 17-14 overall. Hawaii was an ordinary offensive team at 70.1 points and survived because they held teams to 69 points.
The Warriors need points and are hurt by the loss of forwards Michael Thomas and Gibson Johnson who take 13.1 points and 10.4 points with them and a combined 10.7 rebounds.

Josh McSwiggan paced the Pilots with a contest high 37 points and eleven rebounds followed by Marcus Shaver Jr. with 23 points, six yanks and nine assists. Franklin Porter and Theo Akwuba gave Portland 14 and 13 points respectively with seven boards each while Malcolm Porter need another ten points.
