The Line: Hofstra Pride -14.5 -- Over/Under: 158.5
The Drexel Dragons and the Hofstra Pride will meet up on the college basketball circuit Sunday.
Drexel sits at 6-8 this year so far. The Dragons have lost four of their last five games, beathing Quinnipiac but falling to UMBC, UConn, Temple and Northeastern during that span.
In the Huskies game, Drexel was led by Troy Harper’s 28 points and three rebounds. Alihan Demir doubled up on 14 points and 10 rebounds, and Camren Wynter added 15 points, four rebounds and four assists for the Dragons.
Over on the Hofstra side, they’re sitting at 11-3 this season. The Pride are on an eight-game win streak right now, taking out Siena, Kennesaw State, Monmouth, Rider, Manhattan, Stony Brook, Rosemont and Delaware in that time.
In the Blue Hens game, Justin Wright-Foreman led Hofstra with his 29 points, five rebounds and two assists. Eli Pemberton added 17 points and four rebounds for the Pride, and Jacquil Taylor pulled down 12 rebounds.
The Dragons are 1-4 ATS in the last five versus a team with a winning straight-up record and 0-4 ATS in their last four versus a team with a winning percentage above .600. The over is 8-3 in Drexel’s last 11 versus the CAA and 5-2 in their last seven overall.
Meanwhile, the Pride are 5-1 ATS in the last six versus the CAA and 12-3-1 ATS in their last 16 following a straight-up win. Hofstra is 4-9 ATS in their last 13 Sunday games and 20-7-1 ATS in their last 28 overall.
Drexel has been a pretty frustrating team this year. It seems like when they put up a good offensive effort, they’re also allowing a lot of points on the other side.
As for Hofstra, they’re on a nice roll right now and seem to have figured out their identity. I’m going to stick with the Pride to keep it going here.
