Hofstra Pride -12.5 O/U: 152
The UNC Wilmington Seahawks and the Hofstra Pride will meet up in college basketball action on Thursday.
UNCW limps into this one at 7-11 overall on the season. The Seahawks have won three of their last four games, falling to Delaware but taking out James Madison, Towson and Drexel in that span.
In the win over the Dragons, UNCW’s Devontae Cacok led the way on 24 points with 12 rebounds. Both Ty Gadsen and Jeantal Cylla provided 20 points for the Seahawks, combining for eight rebounds and four assists as well.
Over on the Hofstra side, they’re sitting pretty at 15-3 right now. The Pride come in with a 12-game win streak, taking out Drexel, Northeastern, William & Mary and Elon in their last four outings.
In the victory over the Phoenix, Hofstra’s lead scorer was Justin Wright-Foreman, with 21 points, five rebounds and two assists. Eli Pemberton added 15 points, and Jacquil Taylor put up 13 points and seven rebounds for the Pride in that one.
UNCW is 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven following an ATS win and 5-1 ATS in the last six overall. The Seahawks are 4-1 ATS in their last five versus the CAA and the over is 4-1 in their last five Thursday games.
Meanwhile, the Pride are 5-0 ATS in their last five Thursday games and 5-0 ATS in their last five following an ATS loss. Hofstra is 19-6-1 ATS in their last 26 overall and 10-4-1 ATS in their last 15 home games.
After some early stumbles, UNCW is showing some promise over their last four games, but they’ve still got work to do against some of the better teams out there, as evidenced by their 82-69 loss to Delaware.
Hofstra on the other hand is really looking like a beast right now. The Pride seem to be locked in a nice groove, and I like them to take a dominating cover here.
