Idaho State Bengals -11 O/U: 146
The Idaho Vandals and the Idaho State Bengals will meet up on the college basketball circuit Saturday.
Idaho enters this game at 5-25 on the year. After a lengthy losing streak, the Vandals finally got a W versus Sacramento State March 2 but then fell versus Weber State in their last outing Thursday.
In the loss to Weber State, Idaho’s lead scorer was Cameron Tyson with 17 points, one rebound and two assists. Jared Rodriguez and Scott Blakney each chipped in 10 points for the Vandals there, with a combined 10 rebounds.
Over on the Idaho State side, they’re 10-18 this year. The Bengals have lost six of their last seven games, falling to Southern Utah, Montana State, Montana, Portland State, Northern Colorado and Eastern Washington in that stretch.
In the loss to Eastern Washington, Idaho State’s Kelvin Jones led the team on 17 points with four rebounds. Alonzo Walker also had a solid line for the Bengals there with his 12 points and eight rebounds.
The Vandals are 6-16 ATS in their last 22 after a straight-up loss and 8-22 ATS in their last 30 overall. Idaho is 4-11 ATS in their last 15 versus the Big Sky and 2-6 ATS in their last eight road games.
Meanwhile, the Bengals are 2-5 ATS in their last seven overall and 1-3-1 ATS in their last five Saturday games. Idaho State is 1-4-1 ATS in their last six after an ATS loss and 1-6-1 ATS in their last eight home games.
Idaho showed a spark of life in their 94-90 win over Sac State, but otherwise they’ve been looking pretty ugly during this losing clip. the Vandals have scored more than 64 points just twice in their last seven outings.
Idaho State has a handful of weakness as well, despite the fact that they’re much better offensively. The Bengals may allow Idaho to post a decent points total, but in the end I don’t see the Vandals getting anywhere close here. I’m going Idaho State.
