Big Sky college basketball comes to Holt Arena where the Idaho State Bengals host the North Dakota Fighting Hawks.
The North Dakota Fighting Hawks have dropped consecutive contests following an 84-76 defeat at Weber State where the came was nip and tuck until late. North Dakota shot the ball well at 45% but Weber State was better at 51.9% and prevailed with a 19-13 edge at the line.
Dale Jones was the Fighting Hawks go to scorer with 20 points, eight rebounds and four assists. North Dakota received 14 points apiece from Conner Avants and Geno Grandall while Marlon Stewart and Cortez Seales combined for 18 points.
The Idaho State Bengals have been very competitive at times but haven’t been able the hump and win some games they needed. Idaho State has lost back to back games by a total of seven points after an 85-82 loss to Northern Colorado with the Bears holding a 56.6%-52% shooting edge.
Brandon Boyd poured in 26 points to lead all scorers with the Bengals getting 19 points and seven rebounds from Geno Luzcando. Idaho State saw Novak Topalovic toss in eleven points while Gary Chivichyan chipped in with eight points.
