Idaho Vandals +2 O/U: 151.5
The Montana State Bobcats and the Idaho Vandals will meet up in college basketball action on Thursday.
Montana State enters this game with a 6-8 mark on the year. The Bobcats have gone 3-1 over their last four games, dropping to Northern Arizona and beating Southern Utah, Portland State and Sacramento State in that span.
In the win over the Hornets, Montana State guard Harald Frey led the team with 21 points, five rebounds and three assists. Devin Kirby and Lassi Nikkarinen each added 14 points, and Keljin Blevins doubled up on 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Over on the Idaho side, they’re sitting at 4-11 this year. The Vandals have lost seven of their last eight games, with a win over Eastern Washington being the only bright spot alongside losses to Washington State, CSUB, Omaha, Santa Clara, Idaho State, Weber State and Northern Colroado.
In the loss to the Bears, Idaho’s top scorer was Jared Rodriguez, who doubled up with 20 points and 11 boards. Trevon Allen added 14 points with seven rebounds for the Vandals in that one, and Cameron Tyson provided 13 points.
Montana State is 4-1 ATS in their last five Thursday games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven overall. The Bobcats are 21-48-1 ATS in their last 70 after an ATS win and 1-5 ATS in their last six versus a team with a losing straight-up record.
Meanwhile, the Vandals are 4-10 ATS in their last 14 following an ATS win and 4-11 ATS in their last 15 overall. Idaho is 2-7 ATS in their last nine home games and 2-8 ATS in their last 10 Thursday games.
Montana State has a pretty good offense, as evidenced by the team scoring at least 84 points in each of their last four wins. The Bobcats do have a tendency to get stifled a bit against some of the better defensive teams, however (like 64 against Denver or 65 versus Omaha).
Idaho has some good scorers as well, but suffers from the same epidemic here and there (67 against CSUB, 56 versus Santa Clara). This should be a good offensive game on both sides, though. I like the over here, and I’ll take the at-home Vandals on the cover.
