Idaho Vandals +8 O/U: 145.5
The Portland State Vikings and the Idaho Vandals will meet up on the college basketball circuit Thursday.
Portland State comes in here with a 13-14 mark on the year. The Vikings have won their last four straight outings, taking out Northern Arizona, Southern Utah, Idaho State and Sacramento State in that time.
In the win over the Hornets, Portland State’s lead scorer was Sal Nuhu, doubling up on 12 points and 14 rebounds. The only other Vikings players in double-digits there were Jamie Orme and Holland Woods, each with 11 points apiece along with six rebounds and four assists between them.
Over on the Idaho side, they’re 4-23 this year. The Vandals haven’t won a game since January 3, and they’ve dropped to Northern Colorado, Eastern Washington, Northern Arizona and Southern Utah across their last four.
In the loss to the Thunderbirds, Idaho’s top scorer was Jared Rodriguez with 28 points and 11 rebounds. Cameron Tyson added 15 points for the Vandals there, and Scott Blakney put up 11 points with six boards.
The Vikings are 4-0 ATS in their last four overall and 4-0 ATS in their last four versus the Big Sky. Portland State is 4-1 ATS in their last five Thursday games and 2-9-1 ATS in their last 12 road games.
Meanwhile, the Vandals are 4-17 ATS in their last 21 home games and 3-15 ATS in their last 18 Thursday games. Idaho is 2-10 ATS in their last 12 versus the Big Sky and 6-21 ATS in their last 27 overall.
Portland State is on a pretty solid run over this four-game win streak, and they’ve won by at least six points in every outing. Back on January 26 when these teams last met, the Vikings managed a 69-53 victory.
With the skid the Vandals are on, I don’t see them making a whole lot of noise here, so I’m going to stick with Portland State on the cover.
