Cleveland State at Illinois-Chicago

UIC Flames -8 O/U: 150
The Cleveland State Vikings and the UIC Flames will meet up on the college basketball circuit Saturday.
Cleveland State enters this one at 5-13 on the season. The Vikings are currently sitting on a five-game losing streak, dropping to Oakland, Detroit, Milwaukee, Green Bay and IUPUI in that time.
In the loss to the Jaguars, Cleveland State’s top scorers were Jaalam Hill and Stefan Kenic, each with 18 points and a combined 13 rebounds and two assists between them. Rashad Williams added 12 points for the Vikings in that one.
Over on the UIC side, they’re 8-9 this season. The Flames had lost games to Northern Kentucky and IUPUI heading into their last appearance versus Youngstown State, but got a 78-63 win in that one.
In the win over the Penguins, UIC’s Tarkus Ferguson led the scoring on 23 points, five assists and seven rebounds. Godwin Boahen also had a nice line for the Flames there on 21 points, two assists and three rebounds.
The Vikings are 6-0 ATS in their last six Saturday games and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 following an ATS loss. Cleveland State is also 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall and 1-5 ATS in their last six versus the Horizon League.
Meanwhile, the Flames are 11-4 ATS in their last 15 following an ATS win and 2-5 ATS in their last seven overall. UIC is also 3-8 ATS in the last 11 Saturday games and 2-6 ATS in their last eight versus the Horizon League.
Cleveland State does have some solid potential scorers on their roster, and more often than not they put up good points totals. The Vikings need some work on the other side, however; they’ve given up 180 points across their last two games.
As for UIC, they’ve got scoring capabilities as well, though they’re not super consistent with that. I think the Flames get the win here, but there seems enough room for Cleveland State to squeeze in on a cover.
