The Line: Illinois State Redbirds -10.5 -- Over/Under: 151
The Cleveland State Vikings and the Illinois State Redbirds will meet up on the college basketball circuit Sunday.
Cleveland State sits at 4-7 on the season. The Vikings have thus far recorded victories over Urbana, South Carolina State, Bowling Green and Notre Dame OH.
In the Falcons game, Cleveland State’s Stefan Kenic led the charge with 18 points, six rebounds and two assists. Tyree Appleby doubled up for the Vikings, posting 12 points and 10 rebounds of his own.
Over on the Illinois State side, they’re 6-5 this season. The Redbirds’ losses have come at the hands of Belmont, Georgia, San Diego State, UIC and Mississippi so far this year.
In the Rebels game, Illinois State’s Milik Yarbrough topped the scoring on 19 points, six assists and eight rebounds, while Phil Fayne notched a double-double on his 13 points and 11 rebounds there.
The Vikings are 4-0 ATS in their last four non-conference games and 4-0 ATS in their last four overall. Cleveland State is 8-3 ATS in their last 11 road games and 1-7 ATS in their last eight Sunday games.
Meanwhile, the Redbirds are 2-5 ATS in their last seven Sunday games and 3-8 ATS in their last 11 overall. Illinois State is 3-8 ATS in their last 11 non-conference games and 1-5 ATS in their last six following an ATS loss.
Following a few duds, the Vikings have looked better over their last two games, posting 159 points combined in that pair of victories.
As for Illinois State, they’re scoring pretty well but also coughing up a ton of points lately—175 in their last two games alone.
This should be an interesting matchup, but I’m going with Illinois State to bounce back and cover here.
