The Missouri State Bears take the floor with the Illinois State Redbirds in Wednesday college basketball action.

The Missouri State Bears come off of a 67-61 victory versus the Indiana State Sycamores on Saturday as a six point home favorite.

Missouri State has been trying to lock up a top four spot in the Missouri Valley and have been heading in the right direction with wins in five of six.

The balanced Tigers saw Tulio Da Silva net 16 points and haul in 16 rebounds while Josh Webster added 14 points, four pulls and six helpers.

The twosome of Keandre Cook and Ryan Kreklow gave Missouri State eleven points each with Kabir Mohammed chipping in with six points and seven boards.

The Illinois State Redbirds look to build on a 67-60 victory against visiting Drake on Sunday as a two point favorite.

Illinois State might have beaten first place Drake but the team had dropped five in a row to likely seal their fate as 6thin the MVC.

Malik Yarbrough led a balanced Redbirds offense with 21points, eight boards and four assists with Phil Fayne adding 14 points and nine rebounds.

Illinois State saw eleven points and five boards from William Tinsley followed by a ten point contribution from Keyshawn Evans.

Missouri State Bears are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 Wednesday games and Missouri State Bears are 7-16 ATS in their last 23 road games.

Under is 7-2 in Illinois State Redbirds last 9 overall and under is 7-2 in Illinois State Redbirds last 9 vs. Missouri Valley.

Over is 5-2 in the last 7 meetings and underdog is 5-0 ATS in the last 5 meetings.

Missouri State is arguably the hottest team in the MVC so I’ll back them…

Missouri State +2

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
