The Illinois Fighting Illini and the Missouri Tigers meet in college basketball action from the Enterprise Center on Saturday night.

The Illinois Fighting Illini will look to build on back-to-back wins after a 73-55 victory over East Tennessee State in their last outing. Trent Frazier led the Illini with 25 points on 8 of 14 shooting with 6 threes and a team-high 5 assists and 3 steals while Giorgi Bezhanishvili added 15 points and 6 rebounds and Kipper Nichols chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds to round out the trio of double-digit scorers for Illinois in the win. Aaron Jordan added 6 points with 4 assists and a team-high 10 boards as well in the victory for the Fighting Illini. Frazier leads the Fighting Illini with an average of 15.4 points and 3.4 assists per game while Jordan leads Illinois in rebounding with 5.4 rebounds per game this season. As a team, Illinois is averaging 76 points per game on 44% shooting from the field, 38.8% from behind the arc and 68.4% from the foul line this season.

The Missouri Tigers will look to add to their current 4-game winning streak after a 71-56 win over Xavier in their last outing. Jeremiah Tilmon led the way with 23 points on 10 of 15 shooting with a team-high 10 rebounds and a pair of steals while Jordan Geist and Mark Smith each had 13 points to round out the trio of double-digit scorers for Mizzou in the win, with Smith drilling 3 triples while Geist added 7 rebounds and 3 steals. Xavier Pinson added 6 rebounds and a team-high 5 assists as well in the winning effort. Geist leads Missouri with an average of 12.7 points and 2.4 assists per game while Tilmon leads the Tigers on the glass with 6.6 rebounds per game this season. As a team, Missouri is averaging 67.5 points per game on 43.1% shooting from the field, 38.6% from behind the arc and 67.2% from the foul line this season.

Illinois is 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games overall and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 neutral site games while the under is 14-6-1 in their last 21 non-conference games. Missouri is 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 games overall and 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a win while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 games against the Big Ten. Illinois is 3-1-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings between these two teams.

Illinois has had the bulk of the success between these two teams, but unless there’s something I don’t know, I’m not sure why Missouri is an underdog here. This game is still being played in Missouri and the Tigers are the hotter team here. Illinois is the higher-scoring team of the pair, but I value a win over Xavier a bit more highly than I do against Tennessee State. I’ll take the point with Missouri here.

Missouri +1
