The Incarnate Word Cardinals take the floor with the Montana Grizzlies in Friday college basketball.

The Incarnate Word Cardinals have won three straight games against sub-division squads after downing Texas Lutheran 70-59 on Monday. Incarnate word held a 44.7%-31.9% shooting edge but needed a 26-29 effort at the charity stripe to negate the Bulldogs 22 extra looks at the basket.

The Cardinals saw Morgan Taylor lead all scorers with 23 points, six boards and four assists on6-15 from the floor and 9-10 at the line. Antoine Smith Jr. gave Incarnate Word 12 points and nine rebounds on 4-7 accuracy while Charles Brown III tossed in another nine points on 3-3 shooting.

The Montana Grizzlies are off to a 2-0 start after upending sub-division foe Montana Tech Monday. Montana was strong at both ends of the floor with 52.7% shooting while forcing 20 turnovers and allowing Montana Tech to sink shots at 37.3%.

Ahmaad Rorie topped the Grizzlies offense with 20 points and six rebounds on 8-13 from the field with Kendal Manuel adding 17 points and four pulls on 5-5 marksmanship. Donaven Dorsey gave Montana eleven points on 4-7 followed by Timmy Falls and Sayeed Pridgett with ten points apiece.

Montana are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 non-conference games and are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games overall and  are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 neutral site games.

The Grizzlies will be looking to establish the perimeter game and should be able to do damage on the scoreboard…
