The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Indiana Hoosiers meet in Big Ten college basketball action from Assembly Hall on Sunday afternoon.

The Ohio State Buckeyes will look to build on back-to-back wins and victories in 3 of their last 4 games after a 74-70 win over Penn State in their last outing. Luther Muhammad led the Buckeyes with 20 points on 5 of 11 shooting with a pair of threes, an 8 of 8 mark from the foul line and a team-high 4 assists while Andre Wesson and C.J. Jackson each had 15 points to round out the trio of double-digit scorers for Ohio State in the win with Wesson contributing 10 rebounds for the double-double. Kaleb Wesson had 6 points and 3 steals in 19 foul-plagued minutes but still leads Ohio State with an average of 14.9 points and 6.5 rebounds while Jackson leads the Buckeyes in assists with 3.6 assists per game this season. As a team, Ohio State is averaging 73.2 points per game on 46% shooting from the field, 36.3% from behind the arc and 72.9% from the foul line this season.

The Indiana Hoosiers need a win after losing 8 of their last 9 games following a 77-72 loss to Iowa last time out. Romeo Langford led the Hoosiers with 22 points on 7 of 12 shooting with 3 threes while Juwan Morgan added 17 points on 7 of 9 shooting. Aljami Durham added 12 points with a pair of blocks to round out the group of double-digit scorers for Indiana in the losing effort. De’Ron Davis had 4 points while dishing out a team-high 7 assists and Devonte Green had 3 steals as well in the loss. Langford leads Indiana in scoring with 17.6 points per game while Morgan leads the Hoosiers in rebounding with 7.7 rebounds per game and Rob Phinisee leads Indiana in assists with 2.8 helpers per game this season. As a team, Indiana is averaging 72.3 points per game on 47.5% shooting from the field, 32.9% from behind the arc and 65.7% from the foul line this season.

Ohio State is 2-7 ATS in their last 9 conference games and 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games overall while the under is 4-0 in their last 4 road games. Indiana is 0-4 ATS in their last 4 home games and 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games overall while the under is 16-6 in their last 22 games following a loss. Ohio State is 2-5 ATS in the last 7 meetings between these two teams and 0-4 ATS in the last 4 meetings between these two teams at Indiana.

Neither of these two teams have been anything to write home about with the exception of Indiana’s win over Michigan State, but even with their struggles, I still think Ohio State is the better team. Indiana has the higher quality win, but the Buckeyes have been winning games more consistently and while this isn’t a game that I’ll touch personally, I just don’t trust Indiana so I would take the free bucket with Ohio State here.

Ohio State +2
