The Rutgers Scarlet Knights and the Indiana Hoosiers meet in Big Ten college basketball action from the Assembly Hall on Sunday afternoon.

The Rutgers Scarlet Knights will look to rebound after a 66-65 loss to Penn State in their last outing. Eugene Omoruyi led the Scarlet Knights with 23 points on 7 of 14 shooting with a 9 of 11 mark from the foul line and 7 rebounds while Ron Harper Jr. added 14 points on 6 of 9 shooting with a pair of threes. Caleb McConnell had 12 points with a pair of triples while Myles Johnson added 10 points with 11 rebounds for the double-double to round out the group of double-digit scorers for Rutgers in the loss. Omoruyi leads Rutgers with an average of 13.5 points and 7.4 rebounds per game while Baker leads the Scarlet Knights in assists with 4.2 assists per game this season. As a team, Rutgers is averaging 68 points per game on 41.6% shooting from the field, 31.4% from behind the 3-point line and 62.6% from the foul line this season.

The Indiana Hoosiers will look to build on their current 3-game winning streak after a 92-74 win over the Illinois Fighting Illini in their last outing. Juwan Morgan led the Hoosiers with 20 points on 9 of 14 shooting with a team-high 9 rebounds while Rob Phinisee had 17 points with 5 assists. Justin Smith added 15 points with 7 rebounds while Devonte Green added 11 points on 4 of 6 shooting with 3 threes, a team-high 6 assists and a pair of steals. Romeo Langford added 10 points with 6 rebounds and 3 assists to round out the group of double-digit scorers for Indiana in the winning effort. Langford leads Indiana in scoring with 16.6 points per game while Morgan leads the Hoosiers in rebounding with 8.4 rebounds per game and Phinisee leads Indiana in assists with 2.8 assists per game this season. As a team, Indiana is averaging 70.8 points per game on 45.7% shooting from the field, 31.2% from behind the arc and 65.5% from the foul line this season.

Rutgers is 6-0-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall and 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games against a team with a winning record while the under is 5-1 in their last 6 conference games. Indiana is 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 12-4 ATS in their last 16 games against a team with a losing record while the under is 10-3 in their last 13 home games.

This is a hard game to call as you have a medium sized line and it could go either way with a pair of teams that have been rock solid ATS lately. However, Rutgers did just lose to Penn State while Indiana built off of their win against Michigan State by beating down on an Illinois team that had been picking up some momentum as of late. I wouldn’t touch this game, but if forced to pick, the line isn’t too crazy so I’d side with Indiana to keep their ball rolling with a win and cover in this one.

Indiana -6.5
