Iona trailed by a 51-38 margin with just 8:00 minutes left in regulation, however, was incredible defensively down the stretch and was able to secure the come from behind victory after finishing the game on a 19-1 run. The Peacocks are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games following an ATS loss, however, are just 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Gaels are 4-9 ATS in their last 13 home games and just 7-20 ATS in their last 27 games overall.
Saint Peter’s have lost 8 of their last 10 games and have really struggled offensively this season as the Peacocks rank just 343rd in scoring offense, 303rd in FG%, and 322nd in three-pointers made per game.
Iona has lost 4 of their last 7 games and although their offense has been solid putting up points as the Gaels rank 66th in scoring offense, Iona has struggled defensively as they come into this game ranked just 340th in scoring defense & 276th in defensive FG%.
Iona has had an up and down season in conference play, however, I don’t see the Gaels having too hard of a time picking up a victory agianst a Saint Peter’s team that hasn’t scored more than 60 points in each of their last 5 games. Saint Peter’s defense isn’t as strong as we’ve seen in past years and as the Peacocks are just 1-12 on the road this season, I’m taking Iona to cover this large home spread.
