Fort Wayne Mastodons -8 O/U: 155.5
The Denver Pioneers and the Fort Wayne Mastodons will meet up in college basketball activity on Saturday.
The Pioneers come into this one at 7-14 on the year. Following a three-game losing streak, Denver has won their last two outings versus North Dakota State and Oral Roberts.
In the win over Oral Roberts, the Pioneers’ lead scorer was Joe Rosga, with 21 points, three rebounds and one assist. David Nzekewsi added 13 points, and Ade Murkey logged 11 points with four assists for Denver in that one.
Over on the Fort Wayne side, they’re 12-10 on the season. The Mastodons have lost their last three games, dropping to South Dakota, Western Illinois and Omaha during that stretch.
In the loss to the Mavericks, Fort Wayne’s Kason Harrell led the team on 16 points, five rebounds and one assist. John Konchar put up 15 points and nine assists for the Mastodons in that one, and Dylan Carl corralled 10 rebounds.
Denver is 4-1 ATS in their last five overall and 4-1 ATS in their last five versus the Summit. The Pioneers are 8-20-1 ATS in their last 29 road games and 2-5 ATS in their last seven after an ATS win.
Meanwhile, the Mastodons are 4-1 ATS in their last five home games and 8-19-1 ATS in their last 28 following an ATS loss. Fort Wayne is 2-7 ATS in their last nine after a straight-up loss and 1-5 ATS in their last six versus a team with a winning percentage below .400.
Denver hit the skids there for a couple of games, and were blown out by North Dakota and SD State. Since then, the Pioneers have looked better and put up 154 points across their last two outings.
That said, the Pioneers are probably still outmatched here, especially in familiar surroundings for the Mastodons. The line looks a little thick to me however, so I’m going to take Denver to sneak in there and cover.
