The Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons battle the Indiana-Purdue Jaguars in an instate college basketball rivalry.

The Indiana-Purdue Jaguars continue to surprise with wins in six of seven after upending Western Illinois as a 9.5 point home favorite on Saturday. Indiana-Purdue trailed by one heading to the break before a dominating 43-28 second half run behind  46.6% shooting and a 21-9 advantage at the stripe.

Camron Justice paced a balanced Jaguars offense with 20 points and seven helpers on 5-12 from the floor and 6-6 at the line with Ahmed Ismail adding 17 points and seven helpers 5-7 accuracy and 6-8 from the stripe. Grant Weatherford and Elyjah Goss gave IUPUI 13 points each with Goss hauling in ten rebounds followed by a ten point, five pull effort from Evan Hall.

The Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons look to shake off a 85-68 loss at Austin Peay on Saturday as a three point underdog. Nothing went well for Fort Wayne with the Governors connecting at 53.8% with a 17-8 advantage at the charity stripe to counter the Mastodons 41.9% shooting.

PFW saw star John Konchar pour in 24 points and haul in eight rebounds on 10-17 marksmanship followed by Kason Harrell adding 18 points and four pulls on 7-13 from the floor. Matt Weir gave the Mastodons ten points and Dylan Carl chipped in with six points and five boards.

Indiana-Purdue Jaguars are 5-0-1 ATS in their last 6 road games and Indiana-Purdue Jaguars are 7-1-2 ATS in their last 10 games overall and Indiana-Purdue Jaguars are 6-1-2 ATS in their last 9 non-conference games. PFW Mastodons are 4-9 ATS in their last 13 non-conference games and PFW Mastodons are 4-10 ATS in their last 14 games overall and PFW Mastodons are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 vs. Horizon League.

I think the number says how much Indiana-Purdue has improved and I like them to get the win…

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
