The Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons welcome the South Dakota Coyotes to town in Summit League college basketball.

The South Dakota Coyotes were denied back to back victories following a 65-59 loss to Western Illinois as a nine point home favorite on Saturday.

South Dakota appeared to be in good shape with a five point halftime edge but the Leathernecks went on a 39-26 second half run.

Triston Simpson led the Coyotes with 17 points and six boards followed by Trey Burch-Manning with 14 points and five boards.

Cody Kelley gave South Dakota nine points, five boards and four helpers followed by Tyler Peterson with eight points and 12 rebounds.

The Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons defeated Denver 91-81 as a seven point home favorite on Saturday which ended a three game skid.

Purdue Fort Wayne was up just a single point at the halfway point with a 50-41 second half securing the win behind 50.8% from the field.

Matt Holtba led the Mastodons explosive offense with 23 points and seven rebounds with Kason Harrell adding 16 points and three yanks.

John Kochar gave Purdue Fort Wayne 15 points, three yanks and six helpers while Matt Weir tossed in another 15 points.

South Dakota Coyotes are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 vs. Summit and  are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games overall. Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games and are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a straight up win. South Dakota Coyotes are 5-0 ATS in the last 5 meetings and  are 7-2 ATS in the last 9 meetings in Purdue Fort Wayne.

South Dakota won the first matchup and might be walking in to booby trap but they generally compete with the Mastodons…
