Jacksonville State Gamecocks -11.5 O/U: 153
The Eastern Kentucky Colonels and the Jacksonville State Gamecocks will meet up on the college basketball court Saturday.
Eastern Kentucky comes into this one with a 12-16 mark on the year. The Colonels are 2-2 in their last four games, falling to Morehead State and Murray State while beating Tennessee State and Tennessee Tech.
In their win over the Eagles, Eastern Kentucky’s Nick Mayo led the way on 17 points with seven rebounds. Jomaru Brown added 13 points and seven rebounds for the Colonels there, and Tre King had 10 points with 10 rebounds.
Over on the Jacksonville State side, they’re 20-8 this year. The Gamecocks have won their last four straight games, taking out SEMO, Tennessee Tech, Tennessee State and Morehead State in that time.
In the win over the Eagles, Jacksonville State’s lead scorer was Jason Burnell with 19 points, 12 rebounds and one assist. Christian Cunningham also doubled up for the Gamecocks there, with 13 points and 13 rebounds.
The Colonels are 1-4-1 ATS in their last six after a straight-up win and 1-5 ATS in their last six Saturday games. Eastern Kentucky is 1-7 ATS in their last eight overall and 1-7 ATS in their last eight versus the OVC.
Meanwhile, the Gamecocks are 8-3-1 ATS in their last 12 Saturday games and the under is 42-17-1 in their last 60 after an ATS loss. The under is 21-10 in Jacksonville’s last 31 Saturday games and 35-17-1 in their last 53 versus the OVC.
Eastern Kentucky had a seven-point lead on the Eagles at halftime in their last game, but barely hung on for a 67-66 road win against a team they probably shouldn't have had so many problems with.
The Colonels beat JSU 88-70 at home the last time these teams faced off, and the Gamecocks will be hungry for revenge here. I think they’ll get it, so I’m going Jacksonville State.
