The College of Charleston Cougars and the James Madison Dukes will meet up in college basketball action on Saturday.
Charleston comes in here at 13-2 overall. The Cougars are enjoying a 10-game win streak right now, taking out Siena, Coastal Carolina, UNCW and Towson across their last four games.
In the Tigers game, Charleston’s Grant Riller was the team’s high scorer with 24 points, five rebounds and five assists. Jarrell Brantley also put up a nice line for the Cougars on 23 points and seven rebounds.
Over on the James Madison side, they’re 7-9 on the year. The Dukes have lost their last five straight games to George Mason, Fordham, William & Mary, Elon and UNCW.
In the double-overtime loss to the Seahawks, JMU’s Matt Lewis topped the team’s scoring on 22 points, six assists and four rebounds. Stuckey Mosley (21 points; four rebounds; four assists) and Darius Banks (20 points; seven rebounds) also had solid output for the Dukes.
The Cougars are 4-1 ATS in their last five road games and 21-52-2 ATS in their last 75 following an ATS win. Charleston is 1-4 ATS in their last five Saturday games and the over is 6-2 in their last eight overall.
Meanwhile, the Dukes are 5-2 ATS in their last seven Saturday games and 2-5 ATS in their last seven home games. JMU is 1-4 ATS in their last five overall and the under is 4-1 in their last five Saturday games.
There’s not a lot to complain about when it comes to Charleston right now, as they’re scoring at a pretty good clip and usually winning by decent-sized margins lately.
As for James Madison, they can score pretty well but they’re also not clicking defensively. I’m going to stick with the red-hot Cougars in this one.
