Thursday college basketball action pits the James Madison Dukes against the Fordham Rams.

The James Madison Dukes have been locked in a win one, lose one trend after falling at George Mason 66-53 as a 5.5 point road dog. James Madison never got anything going at the offensive end at 32.1% shooting and 16 turnovers which made a winner of the Patriots 38.3% shooting.

Stuckey Mosley was the Dukes top offensive threat with 20 points and three yanks on 6-17 from the floor and 5-6 at the stripe. Matt Lewis gave James Madison 18 points, eight rebounds and three steals on 7-22 shooting while four others supplied 15 points.

The Fordham Rams upped their record to 8-3 following a 74-62 victory against visiting Howard on Sunday as a seven point favorite. Fordham sank shots at 44.1%  and limited the Bison to just 39.3% who stayed competitive with a 20-14 advantage at the stripe.

Antwon Portley helped the Rams avoid the upset with a contest high 22 points with seven rebounds and four helpers on 7-14 from the floor including five long balls. Jalen Cobb gave Fordham 13 points on 4-8 shooting and 4-4 at the line followed by Nick Honor and Ty Perry with eleven points and eight points respectively.

JMU are 16-5-1 ATS in their last 22 Thursday games and over is 6-2 in JMU last 8 overall and over is 6-2 in JMU last 8 non-conference games. Over is 9-2 in Fordham last 11 Thursday games and under is 6-2 in Fordham last 8 overall and Fordham are 10-21 ATS in their last 31 home games.

James Madison appears to have taken a step back and Fordham a step forward but is that enough to justify the chalk?
