James Madison Dukes +7.5 O/U: 140
The Northeastern Huskies and the James Madison Dukes will meet up on the college basketball court Saturday.
Northeastern is currently sitting at 11-9 on the year. The Huskies had won four straight games versus Elon, William & Mary, Charleston and UNCW but fell in their last appearance to Towson.
In the loss to the Tigers, Northeastern’s Vasa Pusica and Bolden Brace each had 18 points to lead the team, and combined for five rebounds with seven assists. Jordan Roland was the only other Huskies player in double-figures with 14 points.
Over on the James Madison side, they’re 9-12 this season. The Dukes are currently on a three-game losing streak, falling to Delaware, Drexel and Hofstra during that stretch of outings.
In the loss to Hofstra, James Madison’s lead scorer was Stuckey Mosley with 19 points, eight rebounds and two assists. Dwight Wilson nearly doubled up for the Dukes in that game with 14 points and nine rebounds.
The Huskies are 5-1 ATS in their last six overall and 5-1 ATS in their last six versus the CAA. Northeastern is 4-1 ATS in their last five Saturday games and 3-1-1 ATS in their last five road games.
Meanwhile, the Dukes are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 Saturday games and 4-10 ATS in their last 14 overall. JMU is also 2-5 ATS in their last seven versus the CAA and 1-4 ATS in their last five after a straight-up loss.
Northeastern’s loss to Towson was something of a surprise, as the Tigers really aren’t doing so well this season. Still, the Huskies can easily get back to winning games if they come out firing here.
Standing in their way is a JMU team that’s slumping on the scoreboard a bit right now, as they haven’t hit the 70-point mark in any of their last three games—though they have hit some tougher teams in there.
I’m going to stick with Northeastern on the cover in this one.
