The Line: Kansas State Wildcats -15.5 -- Over/Under: 133.5
The George Mason Patriots and the Kansas State Wildcats will hit the college basketball court on Saturday.
George Mason enters this one at 6-6 so far. The Patriots have won four of their last five games, taking out Morgan State, W&M, James Madison and Navy during that stretch.
In the Midshipmen game, George Mason’s Otis Livingston reached 30 points with four rebounds and three assists. Justin Kier doubled up on 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Pats, and Ian Boyd had 12 points with seven boards there.
Over on the Kansas State side, they’re 9-2 this season. The Wildcats’ last loss came to Tulsa, and since then they’ve taken out Georgia State, Southern Miss and Vanderbilt.
In the Vanderbilt game, Kansas State’s Makol Mawien led the team on 15 points and five rebounds. Both Barry Brown and Kamau Stokes added 12 points, with seven assists and seven rebounds between them.
GMU is 4-9 ATS in their last 13 overall and 4-12 ATS in their last 16 non-conference games. The Patriots are 1-4 ATS in they last five Saturday games and 1-4 ATS in their last five road games.
Meanwhile, the Wildcats are 5-2 ATS in the last seven home games and 5-2 ATS in their lsat seven games following a straight-up win. Kansas State is 1-4 ATS in the last five conference games and 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall.
After an iffy start, the Patriots seem to be getting a little bit of a groove—though they’re still quite a ways away from competing with the higher-shelf talent in the nation.
Even though they’ve had a couple of duds here and there, Kansas State has looked pretty strong and can score when they’re so motivated.
This should be a good matchup; with the thick line I'm going with George Mason, though.
