The Marquette Golden Eagles head to Manhattan, Kansas to take on the Kansas State Wildcats on Saturday. The Golden Eagles are coming off of a bounce back win over Jacksonville after losing to Maryland. Not the most impressive of wins or anything, but the Golden Eagles are back on track

Marquette are 6-2 on the season, but Marquette has not been able to share the ball very well, resulting in them being in the bottom 200s in assists per game, only with 12.3 assists per game. However, what Marquette does have is a scorer, that is Senior guard Markus Howard, who is averaging 26 points per game. If Marquette are able to share the ball around a little bit more, while also getting Markus Howard open shots, the team will be much better this season.

The Kansas State Wildcats are coming off of a win over Florida A&M and snap their two-game losing streak that they were on thanks to Xavier Sneed scoring 18 points in the game.

The Wildcats have had an up and down season which results in a 5-2 record, going on a four-game winning streak, before losing streak and now defeating Florida A&M. Inconsistency has been a problem for the Wildcats, but they are still a good team with a lot of talent. The Wildcats shine on the defensive end, giving up 58.4 points per game, which ranks 17th best in the nation.

Marquette is 5-3 ATS this season
Golden Eagles are 18-7 ATS in their last 25 road games following three or more consecutive home games.
Kansas State is 3-4 ATS this season.
Wildcats are 13-6 ATS in their last 19 games following a straight up win

I think this game comes down to who controls the tempo. I think if Marquette are able to make this a high-scoring affair, they're going to win with Markus Howard easily. However, if Kansas State are able to limit the shots and make it a defensive game, thenI think that the Wildcats win this one easily. I'm going to guess that somewhere in the middle, but I'm going to pick Marquette just slightly over Kansas State in this one. Final score prediction, Marquette wins, but our best play is under 72 - 67.
