NCAA BB | Alabama Crimson Tide (17-9) at Kentucky Wildcats (17-9)

Saturday SEC college basketball gives us a huge matchup between the Kentucky Wildcats and the Alabama Crimson Tide.

The Alabama Crimson Tide are looking to secure a spot in the top four of the SEC and they might be on their way with consecutive wins after downing the LSU Tigers 80-65. Alabama held a 55.1%-39.3% including a 10-21 performance from beyond the arc.

Donta Hall the explosive Crimson Tide offense with 20 points and eight rebounds on 8-10 followed by Collin Sexton with 15 points and six assists on 5-11. Braxton Key gave Alabama 12 points and seven boards on 4-7 while John Petty added eleven points and five pulls.

The Kentucky Wildcats are not the team we have been accustomed to seeing as witnessed by their 17-9 record. Kentucky has lost three in a row following a 76-66 defeat to the Auburn. The Wildcats owned a 46.3%-36.7% shooting advantage but Auburn sank five more long balls and held a 24-13 edge at the stripe.

Kevin Knox was the top offense weapon for Kentucky with 19 points and five pulls on 7-13 followed by PJ Washington with 13 points and five yanks. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander gave the Wildcats nine points and five rebounds while Wenyen Gabriel tossed in eight points.

Under is 18-5 in Alabama last 23 vs. Southeastern and Alabama are 12-4 ATS in their last 16 vs. Southeastern and Alabama are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games overall. Over is 9-3 in Kentucky last 12 home games and under is 14-6 in Kentucky last 20 vs. Southeastern.

I know Kentucky has taken a step back but this won’t be an easy task for the Crimson Tide but I’m crossing my fingers for an upset…

Alabama +5

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
