Atlantic Ten college basketball features the Duquesne Dukes visiting the La Salle Explorers.

The Duquesne Dukes avoided a three game skid with a 74-66 victory at Fordham on Saturday as a 2.5 point favorite.

Marcus Weathers paced the Dukes rally with 16 points and 12 rebounds with Sincere Carry adding 14 points, three yanks and four assists.

Eric Williams Jr. gave Duquesne 12 points and five pulls followed by Michael Hughes with eleven points and 12 rebounds.

The La Salle Explorers saw their four game winning streak end in an 84-76 loss at George Mason on Sunday as a seven point underdog.

La Salle led by two points heading to the locker room before the Patriots surged ahead late with a 21-9 edge at the line being the difference.

Pookie Powell led the Explorers with 18 points, three yanks and six helpers with Saul Phiri adding 17 points and three pulls.

Traci Carter and Isiah Deas gave La Salle 12 points apiece followed by David Beatty with eleven points and three boards.

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
